PSSI: "Football" in Hand Riedl!

Deputy Secretary General of PSSI Tondo Widodo said the company is now awaiting the decision of former Indonesian national team coach, Alfred Riedl, related to re-schedule the meeting.

Previously, two meetings conducted by PSSI Riedl not reaping the rewards. The first meeting occurred on Thursday (7/28/2011) afternoon at The Ritz-Carlton Pacific Place.

During the meeting, Riedl given several options related contract issues. PSSI Riedl hope will give the answer on today's second meeting at the Sheraton Hotel Soekarno-Hatta airport. However, this meeting is canceled due to Riedl did not come.

"Riedl is not present, and not give the news. The results of the meeting yesterday, to discuss the previous case (contract termination). We give each other explanations. Riedl said the remorse condition like this, PSSI also deplored this. We are trying to quickly take care of the contract Riedl," said Tondo when contacted by reporters.

"(Meeting today) discussing a new contract, no decision. However, a positive signal. We hope to produce a decision that a win-win solution," explained Tondo.

"The ball is now in the hands Riedl. Meeting this morning's agreement. Because he is not present, then will we set a new meeting back again. When implemented, hopefully Chairperson (Djohar Arifin) has communicated with Riedl," concluded Tondo .

Riedl was sacked by the PSSI on July 13 because they are not bound by contract with PSSI, but with the former Chairman of the National Team Nirwan Bakrie. Riedl demanding PSSI to pay compensation for unilateral termination was due to a new term of office ends Riedl on May 6, 2012. Compensation is expected to reach USD 1.5 billion.
